How to rip streaming flash videos?

I'm looking for a way to rip streaming flash (FLV) videos (RTMP protocol). There are a few tools of that kind on KDE-apps.org, but all of them are limited to more of less popular video websites. I'd like to know if there is a universal way to rip flash videos from any website. On MS Windows there is a great tool called Replay Media Catcher which catches any RTMP (or other) stream passing through the web browser. I've tried to install it via Wine, but the setup failed, so now I use it through VirtualBox Windows installation. It's time consuming which is why I'd like to find a similar solution for Linux.

Have you tried some of the firefox extensions that are designed for downloading flash vids?

Yeah, I did, but they don't work on some websites. I figured I can use Wireshark sniffer to get the correct video URL.
