So I have a few questions about KMix bars. First what exactly does the PCM Bar do and should I always keep it all the way up and just change the master bar for volume? Also what is the AC97 bar for?

Re: KDE Mixer Questions
KMix documentation (KMix Handbook) is poor. Maybe these help a bit:
Kmix -- what is all this stuff??

Re: KDE Mixer Questions
Sorta helped but was still rather vague. Main question is what should PCM usually be left at, as well as AC97?
I normally only tinker with the main volume setting but I noticed PCM makes it much louder yet. But with PCM way up sounds seem to get less crystal clear. So I have the bar set on the half point and AC97 to nothing.
