I'm running Kubuntu Breezy on an old Dell with a nvidia TNT 64 video card. If I boot up with a monitor attached, everything is fine - the screen res is correct and I have the full list of resolutions to choose from.
If I boot the box with no monitor attached, and connect by VNC, the screen resolution is 640x480 and the only other option is worse!
If I then connect a monitor and restart the Xserver (with ctrl-alt-backspace), everything is OK again!
How can I get the box to boot with the correct screen resolution - or at least offer all the options?
