I've had some on going sound issues threw the last 3 versions of kubuntu.
I first noticed static while playing audio from the childsplay package. I assumed it was just the sound files them selves, however I have recently installed some games and have the same static in them as well.
I thought I would try Pulseaudio but it appears to be more suited for Gnome as it replaces ESD. Is there better sound servers based on kde . I should mention that sound is fine for everything else. Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated.
