Okay I have VNC on my Vista Laptop (Tight VNC), what program do I run at school (XP) to control and what program do I have to forward the port for at home?

I imagine that your home router is running NAT with multiple computer computers on the LAN. Those computers are running private/non-routeable IPs. apps/protocols that need a real IP will require port forwarding. Bittorrent is another example. You have to port forward bittorrent to the one computer on your network that you want to be able to do bittorrent downloads. Bottom line, I think that you will only be able to vnc in to one computer on your network from the Internet. You should also take a look at security. There are some good how-to's out there about what you want to do.

I could run uTorrent before I forwarded the port, but I did it so it went faster.
