    SD Flash Card not recognized

Ok this is weird because from what I remember it has automounted and put an icon on my desktop in every other linux distro I have tried. I have an HP zv6000 with a ATI 3d Card which has a multiple card reader that comes with it. This card reader reads SD-MS/Pro-MMC-SM-XD and is integrated into the laptop. For some reason it does not want to work now, any ideas?

Do any cards automount? I have this one usb stick that will not auto mount but if I sudo fdisk -l it will show up. I make a directory for it and manually mount it.

    sudo mkdir /media/stick
    sudo mount /dev/sd? /media/stick

All other sticks and cards mount automatically, It's just this one.

Everything I have ever had before automounted fine and showed up, just seems to be this card that is being a pest.

Plug the card in and open a terminal and type:

        Code:
        sudo fdisk -l
        Does the card show up?

Hmm just checked and my Lexar brand flash card worked fine but this SD one doesnt show at all so i dunno whats up. But as long as my other cards show i think maybe the card has issues.

Not much help, but my Scandisk SD card is automatically recognized and mounted in my Kubuntu installation. (To be exact, it is a MicroSD card in an SD adapter).
