I've reached the edge of new waters, and need help getting my 'corrected' DSDT reintegrated into the kernel.
Functioning sound on my laptop (Toshiba Satellite P105-S6147) only works if I append the acpi=off to my kernel line in grubs menu.lst Of course, doing so means I don't have ACPI functions.
I've searched a lot for information on why this problem exists. I installed the iasl (Intel ASL compiler/decompiler) package and followed the instructions for extracting, disassembling, and recompiling my current DSDT detailed in this HOWTO Fix Common ACPI Problems post. I had 18 errors and 2 warnings reported. I've fixed all the errors. I couldn't find information of the warnings, so those remain.
I'm at the point where I need to incorporate the new DSDT into the kernel. If any one has experience in this, I'd appreciate your assistance.
Thank you.
