Can't add apps icons into dock applications bars

Hello. I've changed to kubuntu 7.04 and I'm having problems with dock applications bars. I can create and move those bars, but when I try to drag and drop an icon a small prohibition sign appears and I can't drop the icon into the bar. With other distros that use kde you can drag and drop without problems. How can I do it on kubuntu? Thankyou.

Right click on the panel and select "add applet" or "add application" to panel. Then navigate to the desired app or applet.

When I right click on the panel anything happens.

        Based on http://docs.kde.org/stable/en/kdebas...extension.html

the Dock application bar is basically a taskbar for the WindowMaker window manager. It's not a bar for adding shortcuts to applications.

To add shortcuts to applications, all you need is a regular panel. You can follow the instructions here:

        http://docs.kde.org/stable/en/kdebas...#general-usage
