HELP monitor error, i think it may be X

i get an error from my monitor during login and can not see my screen the error is "OUT OF RANGE".

I was told that this may be due to my X settings but am not sure.

help please!!!!

Something like this ?

Out of Range
H.Frequency 65 kHz
V.Frequency 120 Hz

Yes, it sounds like your settings are wrong.
