When I upgraded from VB 1.3.8 this morning via Synaptic under Kubuntu feisty to VB 1.4.0, a file copy from the virtual network drive to the virtual C: drive causes files to convert from files to directories. Very peculiar. I tried re-setting up the virtual networking to no avail. I am going to revert to VB 1.3.8. Has anyone else experienced this?
I have successfully reverted to v1.3.8. The system in question is a HP running Kubuntu 7.04 with an Athlon X2 5200+ processor, 2gb ram. It also fails in the same manner on Kubuntu 7.04 on a P4 2.8ghz 1 gb ram, and a mobile P4 1.7 ghz, 512mb. The guest is Win2k sp4 primarily used with Quicken. Any copy of a file from the virtual network drive to the virtual C drive causes the file to convert from a file to a folder. Rendering the guest OS useless.
Are images created under v1.3.8 compatible with v1.4.0? Question The image works great with v1.3.8...
