ddclient for dyndns.org

Hi all,

Follwing along in the http://ddclient.sourceforge.net/#install instructions, the process of installing ddclient seems easy enough.

However, I can't get the process to actually kick off using the command:

/usr/sbin/ddclient start

and where is the startup scripts location in kubuntu 5.10
I'm looking for something comparable to rc.d files or ~/.xinitrc
but nothing is surfacing...expect autostart, which isn't what I really want

Anyone out there in the same boat?

I used to use the 'ole ddclient/dyndns.org combo a while back and it worked like a charm.  I haven't used it in a year though.  I'll see what I can find out for ya...

Thanks skoal, I'd really appreciate that. I think I'm corssing streams somewhere...not exactly a seasoned kubuntu pro quite yet...still getting the lay of the land.

If anything turns up...
