Help me! Installation of Win Modem

Hi,
I am manzoor from pakistan. I just install kubuntu new version but I also want to install winmodem (I have also driver of modem) but I dont know about how to install. some budy guide me step to step or any CBT for help me.

Welcome to the Kubuntu Forums. Without the manufacturer and model number of your winmodem it is impossible to know how to, or even if, it can be configured to run under Linux. I can suggest some references that might help you. The best place to start is probably www.walbran.org/sean/linux/linmodem-howto.html. You might also want to look at the Linmodem Archives. I'd also suggest a Google search on the subject "Linmodem". I must warn you that if the manufacturer has kept the details of the interface as a trade secret, you will probably find it nearly impossible to get your winmodem working under Linux. It's not the fault of the Linux community, but rather that of the manufacturer.
