Recently I saw on the KDE-apps.org website that K3b finally reached version 1.0. What puzzles me is the (K)Ubuntu version naming. The current one is 0.12.17. Can somebody please elaborate?

Re: K3b Ubuntu version naming
K3b 1.0 was only released a few weeks ago. If you are on Edgy or earlier releases of Kubuntu, you would only have the version of K3b that was available when they were released. And, as far as I know, there have been no updates on Kubuntu Edgy or Dapper yet for K3b 1.0, so Feisty is the only one that has them right now, as kubicle said.

Re: K3b Ubuntu version naming
And for dapper or edgy you could try kubuntu-de.org / DIE deutschsprachige Kubuntu-Community / http://packages.kubuntu-de.net / (also in english )
Search package directories
Keyword: k3b
Distribution: any
===>
* dapper (kde): A sophisticated KDE CD burning application [main]
1.0-0ubuntu2kubuntu1~dapper1: amd64 i386
* edgy (kde): A sophisticated KDE CD burning application [main]
1.0-0ubuntu2kubuntu1~edgy1: amd64 i386
And for sources.list http://packages.kubuntu-de.org/en/apt
This form will generate the needed code for your sources.list file....Before you edit, BACKUP !
Why there are dead links ?
