KTorrent problems

not sure if this is the right place to post this or not but any help would be appreciated...

I'm having difficulty using Ktorrent. Whatever I try to download, from all the trackers I've tried just says 'stalled' in the status window on Ktorrent and won't download.

If I click on the 'trackers' tab it says 'port 6881 is blacklisted'. Does this have anything to do with it?

I'm probably missing something really obvious, but I'm a n00b at this so please bear with me

Most trackers no longer allow the "default" bit torrent port to be used b/c of issues with ISPs blocking it. You can change your port to anything you'd like, I generally use a something random over 10000. Other people use a port associated with gaming (which generally use a lot of bandwidth) in an attempt to fool their ISPs into not blocking the traffic.

I can't tell you specifically how to change it in Ktorrent, as I haven't use that particular program.

Port configuration is in:

Preferences -> Configure KTorrent.

But I don't know if this could be the issue.
