I'm using Thunderbird 78.5 from the Mozilla Team repo. I'm not sure if the new features are useful to me, I just use basic mailing to one family member and beer suppliers.
The other day there was and update to 78.5.1 and the icons in the left panes have changed, for the better. They're much clearer than before. I haven't changed any icon settings, I'm happy with the way things are.
