[SOLVED] KED Neon 20.04 Freezes right after log-in

Folks, this a.m., at the system start-up, my fully updated KED Neon 5.19 (20.04), froze after logging in . The splash screen is active for a short while and then it freezes. It seems that it cannot get to the Plasma desk top. This is my work system on my Lenovo T540 thinkpad and has been pretty stable up to last night when I turned it off.
I am in need of help,

The answer is in this thread on another forum: https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=309&t=168189 . There is a solution for the problem in there. I quote:

You need to downgrade and install this package by running this command, then reboot and all should be good to go!: sudo apt install libkwaylandserver5=5.19.5-0xneon+20.04+focal+build10
