It was the beginning of July
I upgraded that day...didn't bother to report here for some reason
As noted by my posts on the Neon forum, the upgrade seems to leave behind an old file in /etc/apt/preferences.d/ that mucks with deps, and removes things such as the network manager widget, among other software.
May not be fixed yet.

I guess I've been a "tester" for about week. Didn't think it was worth mentioning:

Hi. I upgraded to 20.04 some weeks back. How do I get to downgrade to the User edition or is it a new install?
I followed the instructions found here: https://github.com/tiguchi/kde-neon-downgrade
How do I check whether I am actually using 'user' and not 'testing' ?
Code:chris@neon2004:~$ lsb_release -a No LSB modules are available. Distributor ID: Neon Description: KDE neon Testing Edition Release: 20.04 Codename: focal

Look at Kinfocenter and see what Plasma version you have. If it ends in something like 90 0r 99 or something like that, it is still using Testing packages. If it reports 5.19.4, the current Plasma version, then you probably are all set.
The package called base-files provides the files that set this info read by lsb-release, but it seems to have the same exact versioning in both User and Testing as far as I can tell. You might try re-installing this package, and see if it changes the output of the lsb_release command.
I have not seen mention of this script anywhere I lurk, and it is from 2019, with no updates since then, or any reported issues.
Personally, I would not use it as it mentions using apt-get. While this is usually OK to use, it does seem to indicate a slight bit less knowledge from its author.
