    [XORG] Kernel upgrade or not?

I was just browsing this page:

    https://itsfoss.com/ubuntu-hwe-kernel/

    And it suggests running:
    sudo apt install --install-recommends linux-generic-hwe-18.04 xserver-xorg-hwe-18.04

To get a HWE enabled Kernel. I ran it but the output said I was already on Kernel 5.3 (Obviously, because this was fresh install of the latest Neon snapshot. Don't ask )

It did, however suggest to install the following packages, I cancelled wondering if there was any benefit to installing them since I'm using a near ten year old Thinkpad:

    Recommended packages:
    xserver-xorg-input-wacom-hwe-18.04
The following packages will be REMOVED
    xserver-xorg xserver-xorg-core xserver-xorg-input-all
    xserver-xorg-input-libinput xserver-xorg-input-wacom xserver-xorg-legacy
    xserver-xorg-video-all xserver-xorg-video-amdgpu xserver-xorg-video-ati
    xserver-xorg-video-fbdev xserver-xorg-video-intel xserver-xorg-video-nouveau
    xserver-xorg-video-qxl xserver-xorg-video-radeon xserver-xorg-video-vesa
    xserver-xorg-video-vmware
The following NEW packages will be installed
    xserver-xorg-core-hwe-18.04 xserver-xorg-hwe-18.04
    xserver-xorg-input-all-hwe-18.04 xserver-xorg-input-libinput-hwe-18.04
    xserver-xorg-legacy-hwe-18.04 xserver-xorg-video-all-hwe-18.04
    xserver-xorg-video-amdgpu-hwe-18.04 xserver-xorg-video-ati-hwe-18.04
    xserver-xorg-video-fbdev-hwe-18.04 xserver-xorg-video-intel-hwe-18.04
    xserver-xorg-video-nouveau-hwe-18.04 xserver-xorg-video-qxl-hwe-18.04
    xserver-xorg-video-radeon-hwe-18.04 xserver-xorg-video-vesa-hwe-18.04
    xserver-xorg-video-vmware-hwe-18.04

You already have the HWE as 18.04 has it enabled by default on installs past 18.04.1.
That's why neon has the 5.3 kernel

I believe that all these changes proposed are meta-packages or similar and that the actual versions of the actual drivers themselves are not changing.

I have to check but I'm at work so I can't verify at the moment.
