How can I copy the WiFi network settings from my old to my new laptop?
Both are running the latest Neon but the new one was a fresh install using the latest media (dated 2019-07-11) and the old one has been updated and upgraded many times, so I don't want to assume that the "keyrings" and configuration settings are all stored in the same place and manner between the two - perhaps it is but, you know, assumptions and all that.
I did try to google the problem but it seems there are a lot of steps, and most posts cover Ubuntu Gnome specific processes, and also more often than not for much older versions of Ubuntu
Also why is it even desktop environment specific? Shouldn't my WiFi configuration be independant of any specific Desktop?
