I got the nvidia proprietary drivers to work and the external display works now and I can switch between Intel and nVidia GPU. But in the Displays System Setting Modult the two screens looks like they are the same size.
The problem is that the screens are not the same size and it makes things look wonky when moving between the screens.
I do not have this problem on the old laptop (also running Kde Neon)
Old laptop has 15-in 1366x768
New laptop has 15-in 1920x1080
The external monitor is 24-in 1920x1080
Help please. ;-)
