[SOLVED] Wayland, Black Screen with functioning mouse Cursor @ Log In.

Wayland, KDE Neon 6.3 fully up to date with NVidia graphics. Black Screen with functioning mouse Cursor @ Log In.

I tried all of the "work arounds" I found on the internet posted within the last 4 months but with no luck resolving the issue.

No biggie as I've been using X11 all this time. Was just trying to see where Wayland stood, and truly, this issue doesn't help it in my eyes.

Anyone else have this issue and know of a possible fix?

So, pay attention to your NVIDIA configuration files that have nvidia-drm.modeset=1 and nvidia_drm.fbdev=1.

Note the "." after drm. My files already had those entries in appearance so thought all was well. Read another article and they had the "." there.

Not sure why my files had them the way they did. I've never edited those until now so strange they were that way. I'm now in Wayland.

So far so good. Will now try this forked Shutter that is supposed to work in Wayland. If so, I'm set.
