Since the upgrade to Plasma 6 and switching to Wayland, I have observed an odd behavior with the Weather widget.
Initially when switching to Wayland (2 months or so ago), my two Weather widgets (one set to home, one to our fav winter vacation location) disappeared. Attempt to re-add them crashed the desktop. I assumed this meant they weren't yet compatible with Wayland so I forgot about them. Subsequent to that, I had odd random issues I attributed to the switch to Wayland so I deleted plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc and re-configured my desktop set-up in Wayland. This solved my other issues.
This week, since we made it to Plasma 6.3, I decided to try the weather widgets again. Lo and behold, they worked. But after a log out or reboot, they disappear again. When re-adding them, they work and - strangely - the weather station location settings are retained from the initial setup! They are still defined (maybe obviously) in plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc but don't reload when my desktop loads. I can re-add them and place them where I want, but they're gone next session.
I'm wondering if it's the widget or Wayland causing the problem and if anyone else is seeing anything similar.
