Thunderbird 135 icon

I just installed Thunderbird 135 from the official tarball and I've found something that I hate straight away!

There's now a Thunderbird icon on my Panel!

I hate it! I haven't found a way to turn it off! I'm still bleary eyed from a rotten headache though!

Am I missing something obvious? It's ugly, it's not useful to me at all! I want it gone!

Right-click on the panel, click "Show Panel Configuration", then hover on the Thunderbird widget, "Remove".

I'm curious; how do you start thunderbird? I had to work to get an acceptable icon on the panel.

Thanks, I set it to always hidden.

I just edited the application launcher menu to point to /opt/thunderbird/thunderbird

When it was running I pinned a copy to the task manager
