[KDE] Partial white screen on boot after many updates, why?

Does anyone have any ideas why a partial white screen would appear while booting KDE Neon?
Was okay until the last few updates. Partial white screen happens just before logging in.
I have no ideas.

What does a partial white screen mean? Where is it happening?
That is definitely not normal, even for something broken.

I have had a similar problem since installing 6.8.0-40 yesterday morning. It's not a white screen, but definitely strange. I also get a message after logging in, telling me someone wants access to my screen.
