    Plasma desktop total lockup

    I can't remember when this started happening but whenever I click on any video, or preview a video in Firefox, the whole desktop
    locks up. Firefox is still usable though but everything else is just dead!

    Videos work fine in Chrome though, no lockup with that!

    Are there any logs I can attach?

    I don't know what might cause such a problem, but your symptom suggests plasma has crashed, though it might be kwin. You could try restarting it; on plasma 5 and X11 a way to do that is to press ctrl-alt-f3, log in and run
    Code:
    DISPLAY=:0 plasmashell --replace &
    then press ctrl-alt-f2 to get back to the GUI.

    You could run something like
    Code:
    journalctl -n 200 | grep plasmashell
    and see if plasmashell logged anything before crashing. You can do that in the text console.

    Can anyone say how these commands might change with plasma 6 or with Wayland?

      I assume any video source in the browser does this? How about other browsers?

        It's only Firefox. I'm going to disable OC support in LACT and see if that makes a difference.
