Last few days updates left my Neon uninstall unusable

I had to roll back 3 days to get normal functioning back.
    • I could not move and release a window without it "snapping" into one of the frame spaces - either center, left, or right and full height.
    • The Shift key would (apparently) randomly lock in SHIFT mode and pressing it a few more times would change back to normal function.
    • The ESC key became a "Previous page" key when using a browser.
IDK what the hack is going on, but I'm not updating for a while.

Strange. I've been using KDE Neon for a year and it has been working flawless for me.

No problems here but I'm running X11.

The only thing is I'm now being nagged to login to my Google account! Has kio-gdrive been fixed? 🤣🤣🤣

          kio-gdrive is still broken...

But after launching a couple of apps I can't right-click on the desktop for the menu and the Panel is frozen! I can only Alt-Tab between desktops.

My mini-me "desktop" (35 watt HP EliteDesk Mini G3 i5 7500t 16Gb ram), freezes every now and then, but mainly when I have 6 Chrome tabs for work tasks, a specific USB thumb drive inserted, and virt-manager/kvm/qemu going

My 11th gen i5 Chromebook is currently running a DIY'd Neon Noble, with no freezes or stutters, like I had with Fedora once in a while (probably PEBKAC caused), but I haven't given it a strong workout yet.

My desktop is due for a fresh install, the OS drive came out of my previous PC, and the OS install is pushing 2 years old, iirc.

As soon as I start watching a Youtube video in Firefox or spend too much time changing tabs, the whole desktop freezes. Open apps are still responsive though.

In found something causing some freezing - on my 22.04 neon, my browser was re-set to running in as an x11 window via xwayland. This actually crashed, which gave me the clue. Now to see if that stops happening. Chrome and chromium based browsers seem to not only need to have the Ozone flag set to auto or Wayland, but also to be started with a command parameter, not needed on 24.04. Not sure if this is particular to my very much non-stock setup or not.
