It is something you can customize for the desktop right-click options

Thank you. Yes, it doesn’t work.

The Open Terminal doesn't work in X11 either.

        Merkuro calendar is still borked.
Constant change is here to stay!

          **Possibly** related: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=482107
I'd suggest filing a bug report, if it is the same bug, it will get marked as a dupe.

Another weird thing is if I choose any other SDDM login screen than the Breeze theme I'm greeted with a weird blue generic login screen with an onscreen keyboard!

Yes, SDDM had a recent and rare new release as well. Seems old themes, or at least the many ones based an the highly configurable Sugar cause it to revert to its built in default theme. Of course these are the only types of theme I seen to like lol.

I haven't looked at bug reports for it yet, but I may look and see if it is just a theme config or qml edit, or how easy it might be to debug.

I'm confused again. (You'd think I would get used to it...) You talk about SDDM as if it were something special, but as near as I can find out, it's the default. I thought KDE was the display manager.

KDE neon before and after Plasma 6 both use the Ubuntu kernel 6.5.0-21-generic.
Only Plasma/Frameworks/Gear and Qt have been upgraded during the recent days (and sddm).

One has nothing to do directly with the other.

sddm is a display manger. KDE is a desktop manager so to speak. this tutorial explains display managers.

That would be an Ubuntu/Kubuntu issue, sort of, since neon has nothing to do with packaging or providing this utility.
I am going to guess it wants some Plasma5/Qt5 compopnent, which of course is not present in Ubuntu 22.04? I have no idea whereto look to debug that.
You will have to call this application manually, or from Muon Package Manager (if that has been fixed to be able to use it, it has been busted for a while)

                          Code:
                          [FONT=monospace][COLOR=#000000]sudo /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libexec/kf6/kdesu /usr/bin/software-properties-qt[/COLOR][/FONT]
This may be the wrong way to go, but if you need to use it right away....

                          Oops, found it:
                          Code:
                          pkexec env DISPLAY=$DISPLAY XAUTHORITY=$XAUTHORITY software-properties-qt

Unless someone reports this as a bug, it may not get noticed until Kubuntu starts packaging Plasma 6.

Thank you it worked! I wanted to use the "Driver Manager".
Mean while, I discovered that trying to access the system from a locked screen does not work either. It sends you back to a blank screen with cursor in the center not to the log in screen. So, there in noway back than a manual.reboot.I am on X-11 screen.

sudo merkuro-calendar works fine but it's not much use to me running as root!

Interesting. It works fine for me, but I just now installed it and added a calendar from a google account, and I had no pre-existing Akonadi database or configs or anything.

My question is, where is the email component Doesn't look to be available yet, though I could swear I checked it out somewhat recently.
Mebbe I tried a pre-release flatpak. It was *very* rough and not useful.
