No updates in Discover

I suppose it started with the update to 5.27.9 but I didn't notice until yesterday that Discover is not showing any updates but they're available via the Terminal.

I'm also getting this message when I start Discover. I obviously do have Internet otherwise I wouldn't be posting this! (Wired and Wireless!)

In a terminal give this a try

sudo apt autoclean && sudo apt autoremove

sudo apt update

It is possible that the upgrade did not fully install so try this command also (look for any error messages.)

sudo dpkg --configure -a

Good idea, but more effective to apt autoremove before apt autoclean:

sudo apt autoremove && sudo apt autoclean

Glad to hear it. Sometime one of the repository mirrors may be down and that why it was reporting not internet connection.
