Discover eats up memory and crashes

I normally don't use Discover. I do all my updates via the CLI.
Today, however, I saw the update available icon in the system tray and instead of opening a Konsole I just clicked on the icon and entered my password. It updated FoxPro 57 without problems.

After it finished I became curious about the "Plasma Addons" I clicked on it. A busy wheel started spinning as addons appeared in the right panel. I started scrolling to see what's available. On the third scroll Discover crashed.
    Code:
Out of memory: Kill process 6968 (plasma-discover) score 844 or sacrifice child
    Killed process 6968 (plasma-discover) total-vm:6922164kB, anon-rss:4983096kB, file-rss:25288kB, shmem-rss:0kB
    oom_reaper: reaped process 6968 (plasma-discover), now anon-rss:0kB, file-rss:27596kB, shmem-rss:0kB
It had eaten my entire 5.7Gb of available memory. The crash is repeatable.

If I scroll only twice the memory consumption levels out at about 4 Gb. Do any more scrolling and it continues to eat up memory till it crashes.

It dropped off near the end because I killed Discover instead of letting it crash.

O yes ,,,it is doing that @hear as well (never would have noticed as I never use the *&m thing ) but just looking at the "plasma addons" ate almost 16GB of RAM before I closed it , and got the RAM back.

needs a bug report ...you found it , you do it.
