Yesterday 261 upgrades came down the pipe. No problems.
Today, another 32 upgrades came down the pipe. The instant the last upgrade, the latest kernel, was installed my PSensor reported that the temperature of the VNAND part of my 1Tb NVMe shot straight up to 84C and held there. The Ctl part stayed calm and cool. The drive was unmounted so I mounted it, but that didn't drop the temperature. I immediately rebooted. When everything came back up the drive temperature was 31C. Normal.
I ran btrfs check on the unmounted drive and it reported everything was fine. Logs show nothing. I have no clue what happened. I ran HD-Sentinel and it reported that the highest temperature (use S.M.A.R.T.) ever reached was 39C.![Huh](https://www.kubuntuforums.net/core/images/smilies/huh.gif)
Cue the X-files music...
