looking a KDE that looks like Windows8.1
Kubuntu can be configured similar, lacks the Windows8.1 Charm
Windows+C Key, or sliding the mouse from Top Right corner down.
i think is very convenient to see the Giant Clock & Date that way.

The thing i like the most about Kubuntu,
is installing a Giant Loudspeaker Widget Next to the clock, on the bottom right,

[_] = Minimize Windows.
the mouse wheel moves volume up&down so easy.
killer feature.
using keyboards volume up&down is ok,
depends where are the buttons, for example in Microsoft All-In-One keyboard are on the Left side, Up is Up, Down is Down, and Mute bellow down.
that is insuperable in keyboards...
but the Kubuntu Widget is even better.
