Yupp Frameworks updates are always appreciated as the march towards rock-solid stability (hopefully) continues.

Various small improvements are also present in KDE Frameworks 5.33.0 for KWidgetsAddons, KService, KParts, KNotification, KItemModels, KIO, KHTML, KFileMetaData, KDocTools, KDeclarative, KDBusAddons, KConfig, KAuth, KActivitiesStats, BluezQt, Baloo, KDE Doxygen tools, extra CMake modules.

Well, I'm running the KDE neon Developer Unstable Edition, and the kernel Vinny is showing is 'newer' than mine, and he is on the Stable Edition!
Windows no longer obstructs my view.

Weeeeellllllll ,,,ya I installed that manualy from the mainline last night ,,,,,,,

AND on that note ,,,,it seemed to fix a quirk I was having with the wireless dropping in and out IF a wired connection was running as well ,,,,,, I have 2 wireless access points configured ,,,,,I had 1 active , and the wired connection ,,,, the 1 wireless would "time out" and the second would kick in ,,,, few more minutes that one would "time out" and the first one would kick in , and on and on and on ,,,,,,,,installed the 4.10 kernel and it quit.

I can't get the 4.10 kernel from Ubuntu - not the mainline kernel, the regular ppa - to build dkms modules. Gives me this:

ERROR (dkms apport): kernel package linux-headers-4.10.0-14-generic is not supported

                            I got mine @hear http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/ ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,this one ,,,, http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v4.10.9/

where are yours coming from ?

I had that problem with the last "regular" update to 4.8.0.45 (regular for the linux-image-generic-hwe-16.04) ,,,,,and I red in a post @hear that the kernel scheduler "cfq"was better than "deadline" in the 4.10 + series kernels ,,,,,and on MY box ,,,it seems that "cfq" is the default.

so when I booted to the dreaded black screen after the installation of the 4.8.0.45 and discovered that the Nvidia module did not build I removed the installation of linux-image-generic-hwe-16.04 which would be the 4.8.0.46 now ,,,,,,,,then red the post about "cfq" and said what the heck

now I see that their is a linux-image-generic-hwe-16.04-edge ,,that is the 4.10.0.14.11 kernel ,,,,,,,,is that what you installed ?

I wander if it missed the linux-headers-4.10.0-14-generic-all package or the "extras" if it was the http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial-updates/main one

                            VINNY

EDIT: O heck I'm going to try the linux-image-generic-hwe-16.04-edge one and see what happens ,,,,,,,,,,,,,<masochist>
