[SOLVED] unknown media type

I'm using the dev version of neon installed on top of Kubuntu 16.04 and so get a lot of updates every day. I use the Konsole instructions and while it is running along I often get the following message:

Processing triggers for shared-mime-info (1.5-2ubuntu0.1) ...
Unknown media type in type 'all/all'
Unknown media type in type 'all/allfiles'

Just what might this be, and how do I find out? It does not seem to affect anything, but I'm curious nonetheless.

In the kde.xml file, about 1/3rd the way down, is a section devoted to fake mime types. It begins with the comment section that starts with "<--" and ends with "-->".

I moved the --> to the bottom of the section, commenting out the entire fake mime region.
When ever I installed or removed an app there would be a 30-40s wait for the mime-type stuff to fail. Now I don't see that msg any more and installs and removals are a minute faster.

To edit the file: kdesudo kwrite /usr/share/mime/packages/kde.xml

The section in question begins with <!-- all/ fake mime types --> here it was line 1789 and ran to 1847 - it closes out with </mime-type>

No need to move it IMO, just comment it out.

To do that, delete the --> at the top (right after "fake mime types" ) and put it after </mime-type> on line 1847 so it looks like

Cut the "-->", shown in red, at the beginning of the mime type "all/all"

and paste it as shown below, which is at the end of the mime type "all/files"

IF an update changes it you may have to redo it, although I haven't encountered that problem yet. This bug has been around since Qt4 and Plasma4 showed up, but it won't be fixed because to do so would break Plasma4, as I understand it.

Oops! kde.xml somehow ended up in Bleachbit. How did that happen? What do I do now?

Assuming, as you say, that kde.xml no longer exists the first step below isn't needed:
sudo mv -vi /usr/share/mime/packages/kde.xml /usr/share/mime/packages/kde.xml.bak
All you need to do is:
sudo update-mime-database /usr/share/mime
