Design/Modify Themes & Window Decorations for KDE 4.x

I have looked and cant seem to find an answer, how does one create/modify themes and window decorations for kde 4.x?
Looked at auroae theme designer but could not get to compile, also seems dated, last updated 2010...

I am trying to create/modify these items
Window decorations
Panel/desktop themes
GTK themes

it seems in KDE these are all separate items that have to be customized individually ?

The AuroraeDesigner 0.3.1 ( http://kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=122763 ) is compiling fine with the Kubuntu 14.04 LTS:



At here, installed packages:

- build-essential
- cmake
- kdelibs5-dev
- kde-workspace-dev

Downloading the 122763-auroraedesigner-0.3.1.tar.gz, unpacking, cd to auroraedesigner-0.3.1. Build example: http://pastebin.com/zCW9i68P


GTK themes
