Hello all
If you can't mount a usb stick after an upgrade of HAL to
version 0.5.7-1ubuntu18.2 from version 0.5.7-1ubuntu18.1
try this
open a Konsloe window and type:
pmount /dev/sda1 ( assuming this is the first USB device you plug in -
it would be /dev/sda2 for the second, and so on... "tail | dmesg " should
tell you the device name)
... navigate to /media/ after the pmount command to see if it appears as
something like /medai/usbdisk
This solution was sent to me by Peter Garrett of the WFTL-LUG.
