    ntfs usb drive

    Hi,

I got a usb hard drive that I'd like to mount in kubuntu .. so far I can mount it using fstab but thats not the best solution because I don't need it to mount a startup but instead as soon as it gets plugged in sort of like my usb pen ... Anyone as got an idea on how I could do such thing ?

    thank,

    Stiff

You don't need to upgrade to a beta version KDE to make this work. Simply adding noauto to the fstab entry will prevent it from mounting at boot. You can make it automount with udev, but that's a little more involved.
