    Can't make new users with userconfig and if I try my own password gets corrupt

    This is related to forumpost http://kubuntuforums.net/index.php?topic=760.0

    When I do sudo userconfig (or via systemsettings), I can add a new user, but nothing happens. There is no homedirectory created for instance and I can't login with the new user. It seems it is not there. I will also not accept my own custom uid.

    Actually what it does is corrupting my own password, so I can't use that password to unlock the screensaver anymore (see http://kubuntuforums.net/index.php?topic=760.0 ).

    I have to reset my password to make it work again.

    This seems like a big problem. I have installed Kubunto Breezy RC from scratch and updated it later to the Final Breezy.

    Strange enough it created a homedirectory now and I could login to the new user. This only happens when using 'sudo userconfig', when I work from the systemsettings (if I succeed to enable the admin-mode, because sometimes it don't ask for a password and the screen won't go in the admin-mode), it does not. Anyhow the password-problem remains.

    BUT, when I use 'sudo kuser', all works fine. It just works.

      Re: Don't use sudo {GUI}

      OK just don't do "sudo kuser"

      Do: "kdesu kuser"
