can not open files or folders with Norwegian letters

I just turned one of my computers into kubuntu. I am running ubuntu and windows on other computers. The problem is that it will not allow me to open files or files in folders containing the Norwegian letters æ ø or å.
I get the message "the file does not exist.

Any suggestion?

Try including iocharset=utf8 in the args to mount
