sim keeps crashing

sim doesn't last a heart's beat on my new fresh system. and there isn't a chance to report a bug about sim (simple instant messenger) to bugs.kde.org.
they might just not be made to fit...

but, weird thing is, sim did last for about a minute first time I ran it. didn't do anything though. might I be missing out on something

Which SIM do you use, one from repos or you compiled it yourself?
Let's figure it out: run SIM from console and post here every error it shows.
