If you have copied text output that contains formatting (colors, highlighting, etc.), please do not enclose it in QUOTE or CODE tags. Just right-click your mouse and choose "Paste Without Formatting" or similar (Paste as plain text).
All in favour of the next Kubuntu release moving back to the more traditional root password approach for sudo - if only to halve the problems new users have - please raise your hand now...
It makes sense to have users be administrators or not administrators with the one safeguard being a password so that they don't accidentally ruin things.
It makes less sense to create a separate "do everything" account you have to log into separately.
Ubuntu and Mac OS X both use sudo, and that's what I love about them.
