Kde 3.5 bugs in the display of transparent panel and panel menu

I just upgraded to Kde 3.5 and found bugs in the display of transparent panel and panel menu as shown in the attached pictures. Besides, when I switch between desktops with differnt wallpapers, sometimes the panel does not refresh correctly. I have to hide and unhide the panel to make it refresh correctly. Does anyone have the same problems?

I have the same issue:

Pentium 4 2.8 w/ HT (running 686 kernel, will try 686-smp when I get home)
ATI 9550 256mb
1 Gig RAM
