    Kubuntu newbie question

Hi all. So I am somewhat new to Linux, but I installed Kubuntu 16.10 with Plasma 5.8.4 and I was wondering how to install the menu (or docking bar) on the bottom of the picture, any one knows how?

Now I understand this pic is of KaOS, but they both are KDE and Plasma 5.x

Most likely that is Now Dock

I think its either Docky or Plank. Both can be installed from the repos.

      In the terminal type:
      Code:
      sudo apt-get install plank
      or
      Code:
      sudo apt-get install docky

Well, it looks very much like the screenshots of NowDock v0.4 that I have seen, and which Kaos have in their repo.

        Plank is also great though

Question: If one installs NowDock, is one required to have Gene Simmons face on it as an icon?

          Just wondering...

You might think that NOWdock would feature a musician that's less than 70 years old! LOL

You could be right, Acheron. It looks like Plank but maybe that is because of their intended goal according to their webside:
"...a Plasma Panel and Plasmoid which are trying to implement the mac or plank way of managing plasmoids and tasks... "
I am using Plank and it looked very familiar to me.
