I just installed kubuntu on hp pavillion dv4000 laptop after windows xp crashed and burned. Installing kubuntu 8.10 was easy and no troubles at all. After hours of searching and troubleshooting I found out that windows xp turned off the ipw 2200 wireless card. I really don't want to install Win XP just to turn the card card on. Can anyone help? I'm new to Linux and so fare I love it.
