How can I remove a sticky note from the Desktop? I've found threads on how to remove widgets, but not on how to remove a specific sticky note.

Do you want to delete the note, or just not have a permanent display? And, what application are you using to create the sticky note? I believe it will be the application that controls how the sticky note shows.The next brick house on the left

Click and hold the widget, until appearing a sidebar with some options, including a "x" at the bottom.
It is useful for all widgets.
