Kubuntu 14.04 Sound missing in tray.

    Hello.
I use Kubuntu 14.04 for a while, however, suddenly the sound mute, I don't know why the icon of sound disappeared of the tray. I took a look in system setting, "Hardware" , "multimedia " but impossible to activate the sound. It stays mute. No sound available.
    Idea ?
    Thx for any help.

right click a blank space in the system tray , click system tray settings , in the window that opens make sure that "audio volume is checked" ,,,,,on the "entries" tab see that the audio volume is set to "show" or "auto" (the default)

    then check
    Code:
    pactl list sources
and see if the system is seeing anything
