[PLASMA 5] Numeric Keypad stuck moving mouse with and w/o NumLock

I'm running Kubuntu 16.10, plasma v. 5.7.5.

If I start up using any of the other desktop environments I have available (FVWM and XFCE) the numeric keypad works as I expect it to. With plasma, I can't get it to switch out of the mode where the keypad moves the cursor like a mouse or touchpad. I will be grateful for any insights anyone can offer.

Did you uncheck the box (Move pointer with keyboard (using Num Pad) ) in System Settings --> Input Devices --> Mouse --> Keyboard Navagation ?

I don't know how many times I tried that but this is the first time it worked. Thanks for the reminder!
