Because this deals with an old HP laptop with 2 gigs of ram, I am very cognizant of memory used. Recently just to check it out, I decided to install KDM. I assume that LightDm and KDM are just display managers and there would be no difference. Well there is a difference and that is with memory.

Viewing as a percentage those are some big differences.
The desktop is running well with either manager but because KDM takes less memory I'll stick with it.
I didn't expect to find any differences.
