HP laptop here with (from lspci) Network controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8188EE Wireless Network Adapter. My DSL modem and my repeater show up in the list of available connections but will either not connect (16.10) or would appear to be connected but not reach out to y'all. (16.04) The laptop is dual boot and has no issues in Windows 10 which I almost never use and my Android phone connects just fine as well. In 16.04, I could usually connect if I restarted the network manager, but since the dist upgrade, nothing seems to work.
ernie@ernie-HP-ENVY:~$ sudo find /sys | grep drivers.*01:00.0
[sudo] password for ernie:
/sys/bus/pci/drivers/rtl8188
Any ideas how to fix this? I'm tired of being tethered to the wall by a cat 5.
Regards, Ernie
