No STARTTLS option in outgoing Kmail

I mentioned this at KDE and nothing has changed.

So I thought that I'd mention it here in case a downstream person can fix it particularly for Kubu.

The college IT people said SPECIFICALLY that the Security in outgoing has to be STARTTLS.

    Not SSL or TLS

    Specifically STARTTLS

    just sayin'.

Wellll, that is an answer from Academia, so one has to subtract the sum of Alpha's square root of prime Gamma and add null times zero halved in order to determine it's worth.

      LOL....

however, there USED to be a STARTTLS option and Kmail did work.

That was an iteration of KDE ago but it did work when the STARTTLS option was there.

Is the college running their own email server?
