    [SOLVED] Plasma configuration

    Hi,

    From https://community.kde.org/Plasma/5.5...ration_changes

Environment variables and shutdown scripts are now sourced from ~/.config/plasma-workspace/env and ~/.config/plasma-workspace/shutdown, respectively. Existing scripts from Plasma 4 should be moved there.
    But these directory are missing.

Is this an error or I need to create these directories manually?

    Thanks,
    Kryol

What version of Kubuntu are you using?
Windows no longer obstructs my view.
Using Kubuntu Linux since March 23, 2007.

That is a reminder that the Plasma 5 (and KDE Frameworks 5 & KDE Applications) doesn't use the $HOME/.kde/ anymore. They are following the XDG Base Directory Specification: https://specifications.freedesktop.o...ec-latest.html

If you want to set the environment variables and shutdown scripts manually the correct paths are ~/.config/plasma-workspace/env and ~/.config/plasma-workspace/shutdown.

Those sub folders are made automatically by the Autostart system settings module (at here plasma 5.7.x).

KDE System Settings > Startup and Shutdown > Autostart

      Autostart dockbook:
The program scans $HOME/.config/autostart/, $HOME/.config/plasma-workspace/env and $HOME/.config/plasma-workspace/shutdown folders to check what programs and scripts are already there and displays them. It allows you to manage them easily...

        Thanks a lot

I already create this folder manually and it works fine.
